I have a problem with the blade tracking; it keeps coming off. I checked the tracking belt and roller and they seem to be fine. Is there something that is bent that won't allow it to track?

My DeWalt band saw does not turn on. The switch is okay and I have power to the "controller". I assume the controller is the variable speed control that is connected to the external rotary switch. On the assumption that the controller is bad, do I need to purchase the whole unit or are there serviceable parts? The controller is $137 so I'm looking for alternatives. Is this a common problem with this tool? The tool has been used minimally and shows little sign of wear.

My DeWalt D28770 band saw does not turn on. It several years old but has been used minimally. The switch works and sends power to the "controller", which I assume is the variable speed controller, but nothing happens. How do you check the controller. Does the controller have any serviceable parts or do I have to purchase a complete unit. I'm looking for options, as the controller is $137. Can I bypass the controller and make the saw run at full speed?
