I bought this Excell xc2600 used ,but it looks new. I drained bad gas and cleaned out the carb but when it starts it immediately conks out. Any thoughts on what is causing the engine to die?
I had the same problem with the Honda carburetor. They are kind of hard to clean. You take the bowl off and clean it out and you think you're done. On the bottom of the carburetor bowl there is a tube that the bolt that holds the bowl on is attached. You need to go inside this with smaller flat screw driver and unscrew the jet. Be careful because once you take the jet out there is a tube behind it that will fall out. You need to put the tube back in the same way it came out. When you have the jet out you will see that the center is plugged. Take a small sewing needle and clean it out. Also spray some carburetor cleaner into the tube when the jet and tube are out. If you take your time you should not have to replace any of the gaskets. It should run fine after you do this. Jerry
Pressure Question by Rick
I lost full pressure from the unit what should i look for?
Hey Rich! There is a few reasons that could cause a pulse hose to rupture. From my own personal experience, if you use your pressure washer outside a lot and it's getting baked in the sun all day the hose becomes brittle over time and ruptures.
There are other variables as well. Debris in one of the cylinders or a malfunctioning unloader valve could cause an unwanted spike in pressure resulting in a rupture in your pulse hose. The part number you are after is A16746. It is figure 120 on page 2 on the breakdowns.
