Delta does not provide internal parts for this motor. You may want to take your motor to an electric motor service shop in your area, to see if they can help you.

Question: Bandsaw Table Trunion

Recently moved my shop to another state. Went to use my saw and the table fell off. Turns out the trunions holding the table had disintegrated into many small pieces. It is very thin and flimsy cast material. There appears to be no replacement part available. Any suggestions? This seems to be a manufacturing fault.

Hello kelliottjohnson,

Powermatic uses the same style trunnion on their bandsaw. It is part number PWBS14-144. It is probably made from the same material but at least it will get your saw working again.

I was shocked when I moved my bandsaw back into its corner and the table came off in my hands. I was absolutely stunned when I took it off, turned it over and was able to break the cheap cast trunions into pieces with my fingers.

I consider this a serious design flaw, something I don't expect from Delta.

Questions:

1. Are the replacement trunions sturdier and stronger than the original?

2. Shouldn't Delta have recalled them and given us replacements for free?

Hello PATRICKCUES,

You may want to try the Jet trunnion. As I remember the bolt holes do line up but the thickness of the metal maybe a little different. Here is a link to the part number.

Question: Bandsaw Trunnions

I have been without the use of the second Delta bandsaw I bought specifically for one operation only in my small production shop in order to avoid frequent blade changes, for nine months now, since May of last year. So my $800 dollar investment sits useless and I have to switch blades on my other bandsaw anyway. Does Delta ever intend to support their product? And while we're on the subject, why make such a critical part from an extremely thin zinc casting? Is Delta trying to drive customers into the arms of other manufacturers?

Unfortunately the trunnions you need are on a factory back order, with no delivery date. Which means the manufacture cannot give us a date when they will be available.
We do update our system daily so keep checking with us for a delivery date on these items.

Where can I find manuals for a 28-276 Delta bandsaw? I bought a display model which doesn't have any manuals. Also what type and size of blades does this saw use? Any information will greatly be appreciated.
