This handle is an authentic DeWALT replacement part. This listing is for the black carrying handle which attaches to the top of the large yellow control handle. Control handle (part # 393960-00) is sold separately. Only screwdrivers are used for this repair. One (1) black handle included.

    Remove the screws from the carrying handle
    Remove the screw from the top switch handle
    Remove the bottom switch handle and switch and cord clamp
    Install the new bottom switch handle half, with the cord and switch and cord clamp
    Install the top switch handle half
    Install the new carrying handle

    2. Took photo of electrical wire and location
    3. Removed bottom handle
    4. Reverse assembly using new parts

    My miter saw fell and broke the handles

    First remove the screws from the carrying handle and set the screws aside. Remove the screws from the top handle, then remove the cord clamp and the switch. Remove the bottom handle from the housing and replace it with the new one, replace switch and cord clamp, then, install the top handle. Then install the carrying handle. Very easy to repair with a screwdriver everything fit perfectly

    Broken Handle

    I disassembled the handle assembly, the most important advice is to be sure where the correct screws go and mark the wires for the trigger. It basically was very easy to reassemble and now works like a Dream. Thanks Replacement Parts for the exact factory parts and fast shipping. I highly recommend and definitely will be purchasing all my parts from there.

    Dropped saw and broke handle and assembly

    Broken handles

    1. Removed both broken handles with screwdriver "Torx bit"
    2. Disconnected switch and wiring. Rerouted wires in the same places in the
    new handle.
    3. Reinstalled the switch.
    4. Reinstalled the handle.
    5. Reinstalled carrying handle to the main handle
