Product Description ?

This is a genuine OEM replacement part which is sold individually. It is always best to replace both brushes, even if only one is worn. Brush Holder and a Brush Cap are sold separately.

Carbon brushes are one of the most commonly replaced power tool parts. This is because carbon brushes are wear items, meaning that through friction and use they will gradually wear away until they need replacing. Worn brushes are a common causes of intermittent motor function, reduced electric braking and reduced motor power.
A worn-out brush will often be worn down near to the wire lead and can be cracked, pitted, or burned. When replacing carbon brushes, be sure to inspect your armature for burns, cracks, or other damage which can indicate larger motor problems.

Questions & Answers for Carbon Brush

How do you get a broken brush out
William for model number C358 metal chop saw asked on 2023-04-12
Hi William, Thank you for your question. If the carbon brushes are broken you can use a small screwdriver or some pliers to remove them. We have included a link to one of our YouTube videos that you may reference on how to remove/install the carbon brushes, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjzXDSVOiLw. The chop saw in the video may appear different from yours, but it will give you a general idea on how to remove/install the part. We hope this helps with the repair!
