Product Description ?

Genuine DeWalt replacement part.
rnIncludes 2 Carbon Brush with wire lead attached.rnrn

• Worn brushes are frequently the cause of a poorly running motor.
• Replacing brushes can fix an intermittently operating motor.
• New brushes can restore a motor’s electric braking.

Carbon motor brushes are one of the most commonly replaced power tool parts. The reason is that carbon brushes are wear items, meaning that through friction and use they will gradually wear away and eventually will need replacing. Worn brushes are a common causes of intermittent motor function, reduced electric braking and reduced motor power. A worn-out brush will often be worn down near to the wire lead and can be cracked, pitted, or burned. When replacing carbon brushes, also check your armature for burns, cracks, or other damage which are indications of a larger motor problem needing attention.

I received a pair of carbon brushes and tension springs for our Dewalt 15gal. compressor. They were the right parts, and they successfully got our compressor back into service.

    Parts to keep it going
I bought these motor brushes and springs for my 12 yr. old air compressor. Received the parts in a couple days. They were exact replacement parts that work as expected albeit a bit over priced I feel. Good company to deal with, I would recommend to anyone in need of parts.

How to check if brushes need to br replaced. Compressor will not run. Fires but won't stay running. Just a short burst then stops.
Jordan for model number Dewalt compessor D55168 asked on 2023-05-20
Hello Jordan, thank you for your question. This is likely to be due to a faulty pressure release A15332 or check valve A19715. Check the Brush for signs as a worn-out brush will often be worn down near to the wire lead and can be cracked, pitted, or burned. We hope this helps.

    1. Removed the plastic covers
    2. Removed and replaced the fan and brushes per instructions
    3. The lead crimp connectors were missing from the brush kit so I had to make two crimp connectors
    4. Connected the brushes to the wiring
Unfortunately this didn’t fix the problem because the motor still overheated and would quit running. I had to replace the compressor.

Just followed a U-Tube video and everything went smooth. Very impressed on how fast the replacement parts were delivered. Just have to be careful not to lose the brush retainer springs. Very easy to lose. Thought the price was a little high for the brushes but spending $50 vs. $300 or $400 for a new compressor was worth it. Very pleased overall. Would order from them again..
