Product Description ?

Genuine Dewalt replacement part, this item is sold individually.
The purpose of the 624302-00 Brake is to keep the sanding pad of the Random Orbit Sander at a slower speed so that the sander can sand the stock properly.
A good time to replace the Brake is when you replace the sanding pad.
Or replace it when the pad is spinning out of control at high RPM.

The part is fine but the post office took way to long to deliver this. Once it got to my city its seemed like it got lost as it sat before showing it finally out for delivery.

I removed the sanding pads and disk driver with Torx bit and battery powered screw gun. Removed the brake which locks in place without any screws. Replaced with new one and reassembled pad driver. New part has no metal parts to it, old part did so not sure why the difference will see if that creates a problem next time I use it. Replaced brake. Unscrew sanding pad screws (3) to access & pull out brake assembly - had to remove springs from old brake and press onto new brake with screwdriver - fairly easy. Replace sanding pad & tighten 3 screws. I also replaced bearing, as it had gotten saw dust in it past seals & was not rotating smoothly, since it was now accessible.
