Discussion for the Bosch 11305 (0611305034) Demolition Hammer
More on the loss of hammer effect. When the bit gets stuck, if I use a hammer to beat the bit back into the jackhammer the hammer effect works for 20 seconds and then the bit gets stuck again.

Hello pissythecat,
The locking assembly, if worn could be the cause of the problem you are having, that would be the least expensive fix. You might want to inspect the bit to make sure it is not worn where it fits into tool holder. Also check the tool holder for wear.
Hi. My Bosch 11305 demo hammer seems to be in basically good order, but the tool is not being impacted by the impact bolt. I have confirmed that the piston is shooting in and out just fine (motor, gears, piston all good) but it is as though the impact bolt striker are not long enough to reach the base of the tool. Ideas?
I went to use my Bosch jackhammer after lengthy storage and I see evidence of an oil leak on the lower body. Is this fluid I need to top off and/or replace O rings?
I am going to be replacing all of the piston rings and O-rings. But I need to know the correct position to place the Piston, Striker and Impact Bolt when I reassemble it. Also how much and what to greese.
Hey guys i have a bosch 11305 hammer. I wanted to know if any1 has a maintenance manual and or owners manual. Mainly i wanted to know if this tool needs lubricating/greasing everyonce in a while. it makes "whining" noises sometimes and i dont know if its lack of lubrication or not. Any1 can help? thanx
Hey Milillo02,
They do need maintained once in a while..new grease and oil..even when the tool is not used for long period of time the grease's and oil will break down or link removed when the the brush's need to be replaced is the time to do it..[the brush's actually have a 'pop out' feature when they wear sown so the tool quits running] The most crucial components to service is the gear train and the piston and striker assy..along with changing out some o-rings and such:)
as far as the whining noise it may or may not be a problem and can be a characteristic of the tool..if it changes or gets worse, then it is a cause for concern..:(

Thanx alot. Yea that helps. But my problem would be what grease/oils to use? What to and how to greas them. I meane inside the casing does it have like zerk grease fittings or am i supposed to take apart the gear case and grease it like that? Which "O" rings should get replaced? I saw the parts breakdown of the hammer but there is more than one seal.. :)...a nymore help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey M,
The best thing to get is the service pack..it comes with the o-rings, grease and brush's..
part # is 1-617-000-036..
no grease zerks and you will have to completely disassemble to service..the oil that is used is a light air tool oil on the o-rings[just a little bit] It doesn't come with the kit but it is a trick of the trade..if you don't have any oil just use the grease on the o-rings sparingly..be careful not to have too much in the piston/striker chamber or the percussion will be weak..
When you are ready to disassemble and service it is recommended that you go to a happy place, light some incense and play some soft rock music..I'm just saying..
Kidding..[sort of]..just be patience and have a breakdown available and you should do just fine..

What I need to know is how to get the eccentric gear # 11 (1616317015) off of eccentric shaft # 9 (1616110032 ) . In the break down pics it lists p/n 78 but there is no listing for that #. Looks like a circlip but mine does not have one, the on I have looks like it is pressed on and takes a special gear puller.
Yes you will have to press the eccentirc shaft out. To split the case. I haven't repaired one for a while. But I don't remember a c clip ether. Hope this helps. Dale

Thanks for input, used my puller for a power steering pully for a GM vehicle worked perfect.
Looking for bevel washer installation information. The washer came out during disassembly but I did not see if the cup side is in or out. Link to the service info or manual?
Hey Kieth,
The bevel washer should face the front of the tool..so that the shoulder of the impact bolt fits in towards the bevel side..
hope this is helpful..

I bought this tool new in the 80s and only had to buy 3 kits of seals and grease. Can't tell you how many hours it has on it. I do masonry re hap as a contractor and I never had such a long durable tool ever. Still own it today and its on the job truck every day. I'm a Contractor and my letter hear is not for advertising means. Its just the plain truth,
