Hello TedGeneralRental,

The motor assembly between the 034 and 139 is one of the main differences, but that is a little difficult to tell without disassembling the tool. There is one difference on the outside of the tool which will tell them apart though. It is the guide tube ( item #37 on both the part diagrams). By looking at both diagrams you will be able see the differences, and hopefully identify your hammer.

We have several (18) model 11304-034 demo hammers. Is there a way to sub parts from a 139? We do have to order armatures and brush holders for some of these units anyway so a change of more than the fan would not be a problem if it will work. We were given the direct number for Bosch and they said all we had to do was change the armature, but if you check the part number on these two units it is the same. I would appreciate a call if possible at 507-461-0758. Thanks

I wonder if in the end shaft of the rotor of the motor, it uses a bearing or a bushing, because I've tried to repair it with another bushing but that just worked one day. connect the cylinder & connecting rod w/ wrist pin,slip connecting rod over crank pin from either side to see which way the cylinder lines up w/ the hole best (centered). that's it!

Try using a #10awg cord. You wont burn out any more armatures.

I have a bosch 11304 Hammer. it seems to have lost its punch the motor and piston rod seen to work fine. I looked at the striker and piston there is no visible damage. although there is Grease every where. what give the striker power? is the grease supposed to be behind the striker in the cylinder? is the grease causing a suction, not allowing the striker to move freely?

Mark, The piston causes high pressure in the cylinder forcing a slug down the cylinder which hit the striker pin which hits the bit.The striker pin has two o-rings and moves back and forth in short strokes.This most likely where your problem lies.You have grease leaking from the transfer case and this is why it coming out the link removed a service kit and replace the grease but don't replace the striker o-rings unless their damaged as replacement o-rings will have to go through a break in run of a couple of hours to get the hammer action working good. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your response, I have ordered the service kit and I am uncertain to where to put the grease. I currently have grease in the motor housing, (connecting rod area) the hammer piston (inside and out) and the Guide tube. I will clean the old grease out as best as possible.
What is the procedure for replacing the new grease?
Do I just squeeze the content of the tube in the motor housing (connecting rod area) and reassemble?

Is the o-ring you say not to replace #32 of the internal flange?

Hi Mark.No you don't want to replace # 1610210033 ref #27. and yes you put the grease in the crankcase where the connecting rod is.the kit I believe gives you instructions on most of that. Hope that helps.

Hey klhwarf.
Its probably not anything you have done..it may have developed a dry pocket where the striker moves[or doesn't move] Time for a service pack or at lease a re-lube of the striker and chamber..the service pack contains everything you will need to service your tool..just match up your model #...either a 11304 039 or a 11304 139..

Don't use a hone on this tool. Clean the piston and stiker really good. Put a fine film of bosch grease on both. go to youtube and type in ereplacementparts and there is a short video.
