I have a electric 1/2'' hand drill that has a faulty chuck. The chuck will not hold the bits securely even after constant tightening with the supplied key. What is the answer please?
This drill is several years old and I wondered if it's worth spending money on it. Please advise
I'm trying to repair a hammer drill for a buddy. The unit is leaking grease near the cooling fins and near the chuck. I would think there is a seal or two bad. The big question is, is it very hard to repair? and are there any things I need to look for when disassembling this unit. I never done one before but have repaired many other tools so the challenge is to do it right.
If you can help that would be great.
Hey Dave,
Usually what happens on these is the grease will break down and run out past the seals..an easy fix by just replacing the grease..:) if you click on the' search this forum link' and do a search on this subject or tool you will find several informative posts on this.. and ereplacementparts.com also has a video on dis-assembly..
hope this is helpful..
