@toolparts is having their first Twitter chat and we want you to join us! Twitter chats are a way to regularly connect with our customers. We will start having weekly chats for the public to join us. This week we’ll be focusing on power tools -- the good, the bad, and the ugly. To participate, tune in May 22nd under the hashtag, #epower from 2-3pm (MST). 
 
What is a Twitter Chat?
 
A Twitter chat is a conversation between a group of people with the same interests using their status updates as tweets. Each chat is organized by a unique hashtag to link the tweets between people. There are hosts in each chat that you also can follow. These hosts generally ask a question or invite thoughts of a particular topic every ten minutes. Some hosts invite bloggers or other skilled tradesmen to co-host with them in creating good communication between participants. 
 
How do I join?
 
Now that you’re excited to join us in our chat, you may be wondering how you can get involved. 
 
First, follow @toolparts to be sure you are being updated on scheduled twitter chats.
 
Second, organize your twitter to see all questions and answers by hosts, co-hosts and participants. 
  • Use Hootsuite to set up search streams using our chat hashtags.
  • Use Tweetdeck to set up a column set up for our chat hashtags.
  • Search our hashtag in Twitter's search box.
  • Go to our Twitter account and reply to each status.
 
Third, start chatting!
  • Introduce yourself to the group by creating a tweet and adding the unique hashtag to the end of your tweet.
  • Reply to the host and co-host's questions and add the unique hashtag to the end of your tweet.
  • Reply to other participants comments and add the unique hashtag to the end of your tweet.
