The metal blade fits between the torsion spring and the washer. A wrench might be helpful during the installation of this item. This part may become cracked or broken and will need to be replaced. It is an authentic OEM part for use in lawn tractors and lawn mowers made by Murray. This is available as a set that contains four blades.

Bearing for one of the blades burned up preventing the use of the lawn tractor at all.

Removed the 42ö mower deck from the tractor. This was the most difficult part.
Removed the blades with my electric impact wrench.
Removed the deck belt.
Removed the jack shaft housing screws with ratchet and socket. Broke one screw which I ordered.
Removed damaged jack shaft housing.
Cleaned the entire mower
... Read moredeck top and bottom. This is the time.
Installed all the new parts. Greased new jack shaft housing and the the original second housing also.
Lubricated all moving parts and made sure everything was tight.
Reinstalled the mower deck and adjusted level, again the most difficult part.
