Bearing worn out in my 4 1/2" grinder
Disassembled the grinder, pulled out the armature shaft, took it to a machine shop, they pressed off the old bearing, pressed on a new one and I put it back together.
Was a bit tricky on this grinder to slip the armature back in between the brushes, so I did have to pull those out before I could slip it back in. And the clearance as I seated it in was close enough that I did have to back off the casing screws a bit to get it to rotate freely.
Other than that, seems to be working fine.
