Is the gear part of the assembly or is it pressed on? To replace the gear do you need to replace the armature?

Hello Billbhrv,

The gear at the end of the armature is part of the armature. If it is damaged you will need to order the part number 429906-01 as you mentioned. Before you do that, look at item number 11 part number 384936-00 spindle assembly, to make sure it is not damaged also.
