This is an original Makita replacement part. The sandpaper discs can be used with Makita sanders that have a 5" sanding disc. The 60 grit sandpaper should be used for smoothing rough wood and metal. The pack comes with 5 discs of adhesive-backed sandpaper. There are several methods that can be used to remove the old sandpaper, including the use of a heat gun, denatured alcohol, or possibly powder and a putty knife. Be sure to clean and dry the surface before peeling off the paper backing on your adhesive disc and applying it to the sanding disc.
