    Replaced pawl which solved the problem but I also decided to replace the line guide and worm gear while I was working on it! All you need to fix your reel is a screwdriver and a little reel grease.

    1- Unscrew the cover screws.
    2- Remove the old parts
    3- put the new crops
    4- Screw caps.
    5- Enjoy the machine.

    Reel did not reel in line evenly

    Stripped the idler gear and scarred the worm gear for the level wind.

    Remove one side of reel cover
    Remove clicker spring screw and remove.
    Remove idler gear screw and remove gear .. add a dab o grease reinstall gear .
    Remove guide screw from level wind reinstall new worm gear the same way it came out. only one way.
    Reinstall all parts in reverse order. Lube accordingly.

    Remove set screw under line guide, this holds pawl in place, remove pawl. Unscrew cap on side of reel that holds worm gear and remove. Insert new worm gear back through line guide making sure the end with two flat sides goes in first. Replace new pawl and cap.

    Wouldn't let line out of the reel in without binding up.

    To replace the worm on the line level winder model, unscrew left side worm bearing and remove worm, replace worm with flat end going into right side plate, ( handle side of reel). Be sure to lube the new worm before putting in a also the bearing! Replace new worm with flat end going into left side plate.
    To replace pawl unscrew the pawl cover screw form the guide carriage, remove pawl and drop the new on in place , knife edge into the groove of worm and reinstall pawl cover..
