Product Description ?

It is an authentic item that is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with MTD, Yard-Man and Troy-Bilt lawn and garden equipment. The purpose of this wire harness is to connect the electric components of the unit. Please make sure to refer to the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this part. Unfortunately, over time it will wear out and may begin to fail eventually requiring a replacement. Keep in mind this high-quality rubber insulated harness is sold individually.

I removed the connections one at a time from the old harness then connected them in the same connection of the new harness, until I was finished

first I watched video on how to change the wiring harness, then I replaced the harness & put in a new battery & now the electric starter works like it was new.

Wire Harness did not have the connecting point to insert the charger

, sissors to cut plastic ties

1. Removed the contact points on the battery and the connector to the engine.
2. Disconnected the contact point on the automatic starter on the handle.
3. Cut the ties keeping the harness on the handle side bars.
4. Reconnected the harness the way I disconnected and retied the harness.
5. Charged the battery and off to cut the yard.
6. Secret was looking at a U-tube video explaining the ease in which to accomplish the task,

1. Removed old harness.
2. Installed new harness.
The only difficult part was taking the key starter assembly a part.

Mowers batter box top came loose, hit wiring harness and batter cable holder, breaking both.

Wrench Set, Ties to secure harness to mower

Removed old wiring harness, removed electric key start, for easier reconnection of wire harness, connected the other plug into mower base, then carefully fit wiring into the battery box. Put box top back on and secured with packing tape. Secured harness to the mower with ties. Charged battery. Mower started first try, and ready to mow grass.
