Nothing was wrong with the part I ordered but the water pan needed replaceing due to rust in the old one. East as pie to replace.
Pulled out the old, rusted water pan and popped in the new. Just make sure than the tabs fall into the assertion holes.

bought a cabin up north, it had 2 grills that came with it. One was wood or charcoal, the other a Coleman gas grill. Looked in good shape until I opened it. Gave the model number and make. And like Old McDonald burner here and a burner there and a water pan here. Old McDonald is firing high ei-ei-oooooooo.
