bely bworn out
removed the pulley cover and replaced the belt, kinda hard to reach under the motor, but doable.

Old v belt almost broken
Used a socket set and loosened the belt pully removed the old belt and put the new one on and retightened the pully. The repair was very easy and the belt works fine. The only thing now is i have to get back to cutting the lawn !!! LOL !!!

Belt was very old and had multiple cracks in it.
1. Had engine off for rebuild.
2. Put engine back on mower deck.
3. Determined proper location of idler pulleys.
4. Put belt into proper location with clutch idler disengaged.
5. Tightened both idler pulleys.
6. Checked that belt was in all pulley groves with clutch engaged.
7. Done.
