The water inlet valve is located at the back of the refrigerator, and connects to the water supply. The valve can break from material fatigue or normal use.

Did NOT Match - Took Forever!
The part did not match the original in that the type of fittings were "shark bite" rather than threaded. There was no indication that this was the case when ordered. It took forever to receive the part. The original estimate for delivery was missed by weeks. I will want to know the origin of the part before I ever order from them again.

Hello Helen, Thank you for the review. Frigidaire no longer makes the original valve and this is the new updated valve for this model. The existing water tube just pushes into the compression fittings to seal and it will work and fit the same as the original. We hope this helps!

Nutdriver, Adjustable Wrench, PVC cut off tool
Parts Used
Turn off water to refrigerator
Removed ac power
Removed water supply line
Removed back cover
Removed two screws that held water solenoid
Removed wires and water lines one at a time
and installed onto new unit
Reinstalled in reverse order
Works great now even has ice cubes that are as big as when was new

Parts Used
Removed the old triple valve.
New triple valve did not have threaded fittings except for the water inlet line.
Cut off B-nuts from existing lines on the fridge (except for inlet line).
Pushed lines into stab (shark bite) fittings on new triple valve.
Note: lines and connectors are color coded so it is easy to match up lines to proper fillings, and female to male electrical connectors.
