One blown gasket, replaced both gaskets & the valves

Installed the head & intake plate with the new gaskets. Tightened the head bolts working opposites to evenly snug with a 1/2" drive ratchet. Did the final tightening in opposites to a moderate tightness. (no torque wrench) Reattached the air tube to the head. Check for leaks with soapy water: None!
Head gasket had blown , from my lack of checking tightness of head bolts on a regular basis

Bleed tank down.
Disconnect fill tube.
Remove belt drive cover.
Remove intake filter.
Remove 6 head bolts.
Remove head.
Remove old gaskets.
Install gaskets, valve plate and head.
Install head bolts, torque to 35 foot pounds.
Drain tank water, drain and replace oil.
Install intake filter, belt drive cover and fill tube.
Compressor would not pump. Bad leaf valves.
