This OEM assembly is a genuine Coleman replacement part used with lanterns. This part controls the flow of the fuel from the tank to the generator, where the fuel is atomized. This assembly includes the Valve Knob (part # 288C1501) with screw; a screwdriver is neede for some light assembly before using this part. The Generator is not included and is sold separately (part # 285-5891).

2. drilled out top of lantern distributor to fit new generator (larger diameter)
3.coat valve assem threads with pipe thread compound
4. attach Check Valve and Air Stem to Valve Assem.
5. Insert Assem into lantern bowl and screw in place,tighten with 1/2" wrench.
6. Reattach control knob.
7. Reset globe support pedestal.
8. Reassemble distributor to lantern
9. Insert Generator into distributor and hook sliding needle valve stem into Valve Assem.
10. Tighten distributor hold down nut onto retaining clip.
11. Tighten generator seal nut to Valve Assem.
12. Insert lantern Globe and secure top.
