Turned off the power to the unit at the breaker panel. Opened the unit, unhooked the blower assembly, removed the cover over the wiring harnesses, cut the wires to the transformer, unscrewed the transformer holding bracket, removed the old transformer, inserted and fastened the new one, stripped the insulation off the previously cut wires, used wire nuts to combine the wires and reassembled the unit. Replaced the starter and turned power back on.
