Tires on my band saw were shot and both needed replaced
I boiled a pot of water. I put 1 tire in the boiling water, took the pot off the stove and then let the tire sit in the water for 5 minutes while it was off the stove. I then took it out of the water, dried it off. I clamped the tire to the wheel with a C clamp and put a small piece of scrap wood between the clamp and the tire so I wouldn't damage it. With one side of the tire clamped to the wheel, I went around the wheel with a large screw driver stretching the tire onto the wheel. It fits really tight and like I read in other posts, I thought I had the wrong size tires sent to me at first. If you cant stretch the tires enough to get them on the wheel, just put them in boiling water longer.

Tools Used:
Screwdriver, Spring clamps
My Jet 18 inch bandsaw tire broke apart from age.
1. Removed bandsaw wheel from bandsaw.
2. Removed old tire and cleaned wheel of any stuck pieces.
3. Using spring clamps, an extra set of hands and a flat nosed screwdriver mounted new tire in much the same way a bicycle tire is mounted to its rim. Prying actions and clamping or holding the tire in its new position until another bite could be made.
4. Tire is tough so it is not easy to install but two of us got it on in about 4 minutes.
5. Center tire properly on wheel.
6. Reinstall newly tired bandsaw wheel and test it with the blade properly installed.
7. My new tire did not change any of the tracking settings on my bandsaw. Good Luck

Tools Used:
Screwdriver, Clamps to hold in place and stretching tire
Rubber Tire on top wheel broken - came off split
Put new tire on one side of wheel, used c-clamps to hold in place, several. Then used additional clamps between tire and outside frame of Band Saw to stretch rubber tire. Then used screw driver to stretch to metal wheel, working slowly and adjusting outer clamps to extend rubber tire more. After working slowly and starting over several times I was able to get new rubber tire on wheel. Most of the time spent was trying to find the proper places to place outside clamps.

I purchased the new Tires and found that they were very tight to replace. I heated them in Water but that still did not allow them to stretch far enough. After that I used a heat gun to heat the tire while stretching it with two Pry Bars.
Saw works good now but Maybe the replacement Tires are just too small.

A challenge to place on bandsaw wheels.
I was given top drawer service by EReplacement staff. Came soon and was right part. But boy was it hard fitting it on wheel. I heated it up though and finally got it on with screwdrivers and 3 visegrips to hold in place the sections already on wheel.

Great Tires, not so easy to install. But I knew that!
These tires are great. They were difficult to install, but I knew that going into the repair. There are several online recommendations for installation. Heating the tire with hot water helped. I look forward to repurchasing these for my other bandsaw.

When when I know my part or where it is on a diagram your site is perfect. Quick and easy.
I actually like the replacement part better than the original. They are flatter and seem to run truer.
