Description:

This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with MTD walk-behind lawnmowers. The throttle cable is the linkage between the throttle control and the engine. The cable is used to adjust the speed of the engine. Over time cables wear out and can fray or the ends can snap off. Replacing a broken cable is a relatively easy repair and can keep your lawnmower running. This throttle cable is sold as an individual replacement part.

Cables frozen in place (would not move) and throttle lever broken off.

Removed both frozen cables and replaced with new cables at engine end. Disassembled the box (on the handle assembly) that the cables and the throttle lever fits into. Removed broken off throttle lever and replaced it and installed other ends of new cables into box. Reassembled.
