Stationary start switch contacts were burnt-out.
1. Remove the grinding wheels and the guard.
2. Remove the grinder motor end plate to locate the switch.
3. Remove the old switch.
4. Replace the switch and reconnect it.
5. Reassemble in the reverse order.

Damaged centrifugal switch seat
Disassembled centrifugal switch end of grinder, replaced switch seat, adjusted centrifual switch. reassembled grinder. Needed heat gun and gear puller to disassemble, heat gun to reassemble.

Grinder not starting
Starting switch failure. Replace starting switch. Requires dismantling right hand side of grinder motor. You'll need a bearing puller. Then replace the offending switch. Put a dab of lube on the starting switch arm's faces and reassemble.
