Buffer not working not sure what it was but your site had a percentage chart of what it could be and that really helped.

Also found video on youtube explaining and showing repair. Last time my buffer stopped working i bought a new one, thanks to eReplacement parts i no longer will do that, i will repair instead at a very small fraction of price to replace unit.

Separated the cover by removing the screws. Removed the screw holding the switch. Removed each wire one by one not to confuse where they go. Reassemble in reverse order. FYI make sure cord is unplugged before starting any repairs.

I went to the trouble shooting page for my polisher and checked possibilities. The possibilities were listed by item most likely to fail. I chose the first three possibilities and ordered the parts since I didn't know what the problem was. I replaced the trigger switch first and that solved the problem. The remaining parts ordered will be held in reserve for future repairs.

First I removed the 5 screws holding the cover on. Second I used a voltmeter and the determine that the switch was bad. Third when the new one arrive I removed the one screw holding the switch and then detached the wires going to the switch. Once that was done all I had to do was plug the wires into the new Switch and then do the reverse of taking it apart. Plugged it and afterwards and it worked perfect.
