1. Removed the casing
2. Removed the wires from the switch
3. Connected wires to new switch
4. Placed casing back on the sanders

Replaced trigger switch

Disassembled sander, removed trigger switch and replaced it wit new one

Contacts inside of the switch were burnt (after 15 years of usage)

1. Opened (took it apart) the sander
2. Soldered out the switch
3. Soldered in the new switch
4. Put all together

Worn starter, would turn on intermittently

Black & Decker Dragster type 3. Removed six short screws on one side, two long screws on other side. Removed rubber plug, undid nut and pried off handle. Pulled apart half of casing. Unscrewed 4 wires attaching trigger. Installed new one. Reassembled casing. Tested and runs perfectly again.

Needed new switch

Remove one half of the housing. Remove the wires from the switch. First make a wiring diagram. Connect the wires to the new switch and reassemble housing.
