Remove safety key, Push old switch up from under dash, disconnect connector, remove. Feed connector on new switch thru hole in dash push new switch into place orientate top to top, reconnect connector be sure to match black wire to black black wire on each side of connector.
New switch is much improved over the original design. There is a definite click on the first push, the starter engages on the second. It might sound crazy but I believe the machine runs better, good confidence booster. Be sure to replace safety key for use and remove when not in use.

I removed the switch from behind the dash board by pressing on the side tabs and pressing it out. I then disconnected the old switch from the terminal. I then connected the new switch to the terminal then pressed the new switch in from the front of the dash board.

Pop out starter button from dashboard (push out from backside), unplug wiring harness, plug in new button wires, and pop back in. Less than one minute. Done.

Mower deck wouldn't go up, fuel gage not working, start switch broke.

Removed switches replaced switches, it was pretty straight forward. Fuel gauge also easy, pried old gauge out, replaced it and sealing grommet. Used screwdriver to remove the switches and fuel gauge.
