Product Description ?

This switch assembly includes the complete switch mechanism with 2 leads attached. This genuine Porter Cable replacement part is sold individually.

rnrnSwitches are commonly replaced parts in power tools, handling all on/off and variable speed operations. They also have a role in electric breaking; they can momentarily reverse electrical polarity. Because switches use mechanical internals, they will degrade and wear out over time, eventually requiring replacement. Some common signs of a broken or failing switch are:rn

  • The tool will not start when you use the switch, or it requires multiple tries to turn on, until eventually it refuses to start at all.rn
  • The variable speed function and electric braking aren’t working properly.

    Fixed my porter cable D/A
I dropped my porter cable off a 20 ft ladder while working on a 5th wheel camper I took it apart and saw the on off switch had broke. I ordered this and was able to fix the it. The $16 dollars saved me from having to buy a whole new tool that would be at least $130 thank you ereplacementparts

    Easy Fix
Switch was good. Exact replacement I needed. Had to change connector on one wire to fit my specific tool. Switch seems durable and worked great once the tool was reassembled

    favorite trim router
I dropped my favorite porter cable trim router and broke the switch. I remembered a previous experience with ereplacement, and sure enough, you had the exact part I needed at a very reasonable price. About 5 days later my router was as good as new. The right part, at a good price, with excellent service. What more could I ask for? Besides FREE that is. Thank you so much for being there when I needed you. John S.
