Product Information
Description:
This is a genuine Breville replacement part, it is sold individually.
The purpose of the 800ESXL/192 Steam Ring is to create a seal to prevent steam or hot water from leaking from between the Filter Holder Assembly and the Thermal Block Assembly.

This part has a tendency to lose its ability to seal over time. It may be a good idea to order an extra one, to keep it on hand.

Unscrew the metal strainer - remove old gasket, replace and screw back on.
This is an easy fix. There is a perforated metal disk where the water comes out of the espresso machine. Unscrew the screw in the middle, and evaluate the gasket. Mine was ripped on one edge which caused the water to spray out sideways because there was not a good seal between the machine and the coffee holder. I replaced the seal, and screwed the metal disk back in. That was it.

Also, Amazon was selling the part for $20 - nice to buy from this site for $1.99 for two seals.

Breville Expresso ESP6SXL machine is leaking water out of the handle.
After removing the screw holding the steam water connector (133), I slipped in the new ring, re-install it and the machine is working like new. I bough 2 extra steam rings for spare since the price is so cheap ( $1.70 ea.) It cost more for the shipping cost than the price of all three. This is the only item that will go bad with time.

Removed the ring - cleaned the space. Very easy! Threw out another perfectly good machine (as it turns out) a few years ago because I did not know how to fix this problem.
Fixed it this time! Good for the environment to keep these good machines going!

Removed 4 screws holding cracked Fixing Seat and 1 screw holding Steam Ring adapter. Installed new items and reinstalled screws. The only hold up was trying to figure out which direction to install the Stem Ring, because the old one was so badly damaged it came out in pieces, but after a little trial and error it became evident.

    An easy fix
Part arrived quickly. The fix was easy and as a result of changing this ring I discovered that my machine was all gunked up. It’s been better since I cleaned it.
