This is a genuine manufacturer sourced replacement part. It is commonly used with Troy-Bilt gas powered string trimmers. This is the starter assembly that is used to crank start the unit. It includes a plastic shroud/housing, starter pulley, starter spring, grip and the pull rope. Please note the hardware/screws to attach this assembly are sold separately. To replace this starter assembly you should only need a screwdriver.

Pretty simple job, take 8 screws out of the old starter assembly. Then replace with new part and tighten the screws and get to trimming!

The starter cover assembly pull rope came off track. It was wrapped behind the spool.

Removed four t-25 star bolts then two p-2 Philips screw’s then pull off cover then disgraced old cover then reinstall new cover then put screws back in
