Just unscrewed the drill, pulled the housing apart being careful to make sure nothing was lost, pulled out the smaller gear from the head and cleaned out the grease and metal shavings, pulled out the long gear with the claw hammer, installed the smaller gear being careful to align up the speed gear, put grease in the head, install the long gear on the other part, put the drill together very carefully and tested.
