Description:
This is a Genuine Manufacturer Sourced replacement part designed for use with Homelite Chainsaws. This part is made out of metal and in this assembly it includes One (1) Sprocket Drum, One (1) Bearing and a Single (1) C-Clip.

When replacing this part on a Chainsaw you would need a Socket Wrench Set, Flat-Head Screwdriver and a Hammer.

Disassembling the Chainsaw:
• Remove the chain brake, bar, and chain.
• Remove the cover and spark plug.
• Bind the piston.
• Remove the clutch.

Reassembling the Saw:
• Replace the sprocket and clutch drum.
• Seat the clutch.
• Unbind the piston.
• Replace the bar, chain, and chain brake.
• Tension the chain.

Sprocket bearing was bad
Removed sprocket cover,bar and chain. Removed clip that holds sprocket on shaft and the sprocket. Cleaned clutch and installed new sprocket and clip. Reinstalled bar,chain and cover. Easy fix and works great

Play in sprocket drum bearing assembly
1. Removed cover, chain, and bearing assembly.
2. Cleaned equipment.
3. Placed new sprocket drum bearing assembly, washer, e-clip, bar and chain.
4. Placed cover and tightened chain.

Used pliers and flat screw driver to remove "C" ring in middle of sprocket
Remove cup separator
Removed sprocket assembly
Replaced with new sprocket assembly
Replaced cup separator
Replaced :"C" ring with pliers
Replaced bar ,chain, and chain guard with wrench set
Tightened chain and started machine

The drive gear had a bad groves worn in it
Remove side panel holding the bar and chain. Next use screwdriver to remove "C" clip, remove chain and bar. Pick off the worn sprocket and drop on the new one. Reinstall the washer and the "C" clip bar and chain. Then the side cover, adjust chain tension and tighten side cover. Your done, very simple.

Chain drive gear bad, oil line plugged
Removed cover to chain
Removed drive gear clip and pull gear off
Drained oil tank
Flushed oil tank
Air blew out oil delivery line
Flush oil delivery line, brass filter and duck bill were fine; did not install. Kept those parts for another time.
Reassemble bar and chain and install cover.
Oiled added to oil tank.

Sprocket and bearing worn out.
1. Remove chain bar cover.
2. Remove guide bar plate.
3. Remove bar and chain.
4. Clean this area of sawdust.
5. Use screwdriver to pry off C-clip on sprocket.
6. Remove cup washer and slide sprocket off shaft.
7. Decrease new sprocket where it will contact clutch surfaces.
8. Pack sprocket bearing with heavy bearing grease.
9. Slide new sprocket onto shaft plus cup washer.
10. Put C-clip back on shaft using pliers to snap clip in place.
11. Reassemble bar, chain and guidebar plate plus cover.

Sprocket on drum was stripped and no longer moving the chain
Removed 2 chainsaw bar nuts to remove chain and bar
Use screwdriver to remove clip and washer holding on drum
Remove old drum
Put replacement drum on where old drum was removed
Add washer
Re-install clip using screwdriver
Install bar
Install chain
Install cover
Install 2 nuts and tighten
