    Replace slide shoes and a broken spring-shift lever

    1. Undo nuts from worn slide shoes.
    2. Remove worn slide shoes
    3. Attach new shoes
    4. Place yardstick under the front edge of the snowblower to maintain a consistent gap between sidewalk and snowblower.
    5. Tighten the nuts on the new shoes

    1. Remove nuts and bolts from broken spring-shift lever.
    2. Remove broken parts
    3. New spring-shift lever is bolted into place

    The only skill needed is using a pair of sockets to undo and eventually tighten bolts that are open to view and easy to reach.

    1. Removed the broken part with socket wrenches.
    2. Attached new part to the gear select spindle first with one bolt.
    3. Attached shift handle to the new spring-shift lever part and tightened up the two nut/bolt assembly. Done.

    Replaced w/new lever and secured to snowblower

    Broken spring shifter

    Remove two bolts connecting the broken spring lever to the shift lever. Remove the through bolt that connects the other broken piece to the shift shaft . Install the new spring shift lever.
