This is an original Husqvarna replacement part manufactured for use with chainsaws. Some ignition models do not include the spark plug connector also called a spark plug boot, it is recommended to inspect the spark plug boot or replace it when servicing the ignition module. The rubber spark plug connection kit includes the coil spring. The coil spring has a sharp end that pierces the insulation of the ignition module\'s wire, and it is the coil spring that makes contact to the wire. This spark plug connection kit is sold individually.

2. Disconnected small wire that led to the switch.(This also was the reason my start/stop switch wasn’t working. )
3. Remove the two Allen head screws that hold in the ignition module. Put in a new ignition module. Tighten it down. Reconnected small on off switch wire. Ran wire to the plug in the same route as the one that came out.
4. Trickiest part was connecting the boot and clip that connect the plug wire to the plug. Checked it out on YouTube and it was a piece of cake
5.Cleaned off as much sawdust that had accumulated in 14 years as I could. Put the covers back on. Fired her up and she ran just as great as she always has.
6. Jonsered CS 2171
