The spacer between the blades had wore out all that was left was the lock nut and bolt that was to hold it on and in place.
1.I found on-line at ereplacementparts.com a good replacement part that was recommend. It was make by DeWALT and worked just fine on my Remington hedge trimmer.
2. I took the old lock-nut and small bolt apart that held the old spacer in its place.
3. Put the new spacer in the slots of the two blades and put the small bolt through the blades and spacer and put the lock-nut on.
4. Important not to tighten it to tight the blades have to be able to move freely. That is the purpose of the lock-nut.
