The side handle connects to the turn table and helps the user to grip and move the device. It is an authentic OEM sourced item which is specifically produced for use with Hitachi miter saws. Broken plastic, bent fence

Removed screws that held plastic pieces on.
Pulled off/out plastic. Placed on new parts.
Screwed them back on.
Aluminum fence was in bolted.
Lined up both fences with a straight edge.
Checked 90 with a square.
Tightened down new fence.
