Description:

This genuine manufacturer-sourced part is specially designed for use with Craftsman lawn mowers. It is mounted to the side of the mower to direct grass clippings. The chute provides an identical replacement for a missing or a damaged component that was included with a new unit. Please make sure to check the owners manual of your model for the correct location and application of this component. Keep in mind this high-quality side chute is made of durable plastic and is sold individually.

The hinged mulch plug asembly had come off in such a way that it could not be reattached without the replacement part.

The great thing about this replacement part is that the mounting bracket, pin assembly and the spring are included and already attached to the mulch plug assembly.

All I needed to do was remove the small, 10mm bolt from the existing mounting bracket and then replace with the new assembly using a ratchet set. Done in 5 minutes. Very easy and convenient.

I purchased the side chute as well because the old one was worn and falls off often when I am mowing.

Bought a discounted store model mower without a side chute.

The chute just clipped on the side of the mower after lifting the side cover. Took 10 seconds.

Mulching plug had come unsprung so many times, was barely bumped and would fall off.

New plug came complete with spring, so is like new again. Hopefully this one will last longer.

Had to remove the bracket attached to the mower deck in order to apple a lot torsion to the spring and get it into position.
