| This is a genuine replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. The deflector shield is found in Craftsman lawn tractors. This part is made of plastic, and is placed on the mower deck to redirect the flow of air and grass clippings out of the mower. This item is sold as an individual replacement part. When replacing this item, you will need to remove the rod and push nut. Please be aware that most push nuts are not reusable and will need to be replaced once they are removed. You may wish to purchase a replacement push nut at the same time. |

Replaced chute deflector
Removed the 2 nuts that holds the chute deflector and replaced new deflector in stall rod and spring and used the washer at end of rod install nuts on deflector bracket and tighten

Deflector broke off. Bracket broke, cap axles needed to be replaced.
Fed rod hinge through bracket, spring and deflector.
Tapped cap on to rod hinge to fixate.
Worked caps over axles.

Broke off shield/deflector and bent the rod.
1. Removed mounting bracket from mower.
2. Inserted rod through the shield, spring and mounting bracket.
3. Placed push nut on end of rod to hold rod in place.
4. Reattached bracket with shield/deflector attached back onto mower to complete repair.
