This replacement shave plate is a high-quality item supplied directly from original equipment manufacturer for use with snow throwers. Its purpose is to scrape the ground to help pick up the snow. Shave plates are designed to absorb a lot of friction while the machine is in operation. You can tell that a snowblower has a worn shave plate because it will no longer be able to clear the sidewalk, leaving patches behind. Please note, paddles and scrapers are designed to wear at approximately the same rate, so it's always a good idea to replace them both at the same time. This durable shave plate is sold individually.

When replacing bolts in shave plate-I had to grind the ends of the two inside bolts bolts down so they would clear the auger blades in the blower housing. When replacing the shave plate, make sure to rotate auger by hand to make sure the auger blades clear all bolts extending out of the nuts used to tighten.
The shave plate was worn thin to the point that it got wound into the reals.
