Tool Type:
Stapler
Parts Used:
Seal - LB0118
Repair Difficulty:
Easy
Time Spent Repairing:
Less than 15 minutes
Tools Used:
Screwdriver, Pliers, Socket set
My pneumatic stapler stopped functioning.
1.) Found the correct schematic online and then double checked that it was not only the correct one but the correct version (sometimes tools can look the same however some update, usually indicated with a dash and last digit or letter). For example you can have schematic for tool #12345 but actually have tool # 12345-B.
2.) Carefully took the the back of the tool off being especially mindful of possible springs, between the two parts.
3.) Finding the failed part was easy. It was a plastic seal that was broken into pieces.
4.) Located the correct part on the schematic, and then since it was a VERY inexpensive part I ordered two (in the event that this problem happened again).
5.) Re-assembled the tool. The whole process was less than 10 minutes! Of course that doesn't count the time disassembling the tool to find the part and then putting it all back together after ordering the new part. Leaving a tool disassembled while waiting for the new part(s) to arrive is a recipe for disaster!

Seal - LB0118
Repair Difficulty:

Time Spent Repairing:
15-30 minutes
Tools Used:
, Allen wrenches, vise to gently hold gun during repair
Senco pin nailer would exhaust air when trigger pulled, piston would not shoot nail
Removed back cap from Senco Model L pinner (same internals as their stapler). Plastic donut seal that acts as a seal at the back end was laying in pieces. Ordered a new one from eReplacementparts.com and set it in position. Lubed cylinder wall while it was open. I didn't see the need to replace an O-ring seal which was also ordered and received, so I set that aside for a future repair. Re-installed the allen screws holding the back plate onto the gun, connected the air and it works just like new.

Thank you, eReplacementparts.com for giving my trusty pinner (over 30 years old) a new lease on life. Your company is a valuable asset to me, and there is no greater satisfaction for me than to restore something that is broken back to a serviceable tool that helps me to earn my living.

Just had to replace a broken part
I decided to clean out and replace the seals in the gun. Cleaned all the internal moving parts , replaced all the o-rings and the valve assembly, put it all back together and It works fine now.
Lay out all the new parts and as you remove the one old one replace it with the new one.

    Wrong Part
The correct seal needed for repair was ordered per the catalog parts diagram but was too small. Called e-replacement's order line but they could not help, all appeared to be ok. No real help. Sent e-mail and requested help or refund but did not receive a reply. Disappointed in your service. Joe.
