Easy 15-30 minutes (1 rated repairs)?

Housing was cracked, heating element was broke

Time

15-30 minutes

Tools Used

Screwdriver, Nutdriver, Allen wrench

The hardest part was working from the step stool. That being said one screw held the unit in. Remove the cover and unplug the heater unit. Remove the screw and the unit should come out. Remove the 3 housing screws to remove heating element. This will have a separate electric connector that comes apart fairly easy. You will need a allen wrench to remove the cage from the motor shaft. Then remove the screws (2) from the motor. I would recommend you use a can of compressed air to remove dust (debris) from motor. Clean the fan (it's a cage style) from lint and debris. I used an old tooth brush or for those with a sense of humor my wife's. Then assemble back in reverse order. If the fan does not turn freely you can use minimal oil on the motor bearings. note: this repair could be classified as medium depending on skill level. You can use a socket set in place of a nut driver.
