    Speed switch was bad. Screw that holds head to shaft broken

    Screwdriver, Power Drill, Easy out for broken screw

    Removed side cover. Remove speed switch. Wires have a contact attached on end - they just pull out. Respect the order of the wires/ switch orientation and insert ends into respective locations. Screw side cover back on.
    On removing a broken screw -be sure to drill centered,all the way thru,use penetrating oil

    Screwdriver, Nutdriver

    Removed top cover, sanding pad and weight; pushed old pinion out, pushed bearings out of orbiting weight mechanism, pushed new pinion into place (added some hard grease), screwed orbiting weight mechanism to end of pinion shaft, reinserted bearings and pad and closed top cover. Works like new.
