Description:

This hex head capscrew (3/8-16 x 3-1/4, gr. 5) is an OEM direct from the Snapper manufacturer. The metal part is compatible with many lawn tractors, often securing the idler pulley in the foot controls. A wrench is helpful in making the replacement. The hex head capscrew is sold individually.

Pliers, Socket set, Wrench Set

Deck tension pulley needed to be replaced

1. Removed deck normal procedures
2. Removed deck belt tension spring
3. Removed deck belt
4. With a socket and open end wrench I removed the damaged bolt holding the broken pulley.
5. Placed new bolt and washers with the new pulley.
6. Installed the new pulley with the bolt and washers using the socket and open end wrench.
7. Ensured pulley spun freely and lubricated the bearings generously.
8. Reinstalled the deck belt and Tensioner spring.
9. Reinstalled the deck with normal procedures and PTO belt.
