Socket set, Torx socket set, Torx screwdriver.
Replaced the spark plug, air filter, fuel filter, and muffler components to improve air, fuel, and exhaust flow. Used a hooked pick to pull the fuel filter from within the gas tank. Had to make a new fuel line wire clamp.
Very easy to compete the tune up.
The result seems to have justified the repairs.

Removed spark plug. Removed shroud. Removed muffler and guides, shield and arrestor. Installed new parts in reverse order.

I took the cowling off, then the muffler parts and replaced the screen arrestor and gasket. I had previously replaced the spark plug, the air filter, the fuel filter and the carburetor. I let the engine run at medium speed for about 10 minutes and then tried to get it to run fast. It couldn't keep the speed so I let it run longer and I think it is gradually getting back to its old speed range. I also messed with the idle speed. If this doesn't work I may take it to a repair shop or junk it. I hate to get rid of it but I need the tool especially in the fall. I get lots of leaves.
