    I bought this item to replace the pad on my Black and Decker sander, the Black and Decker is discontinued and no replacement was offered, so I ordered this one and drilled new holes to line up with the black and decker and it works like new.

    1. Removed the three Phillips head screws holding the damaged sanding platform on the Porter Cable Random Orbital Sander;
    2. Aligned the three thru holes on the Replacement Parts furnished sanding platform with the three threaded holes in the aluminum, belt-driven part of the Sander;
    3. Hand-started each of the three Phillips screws to assure proper fit and avoid cross threading;
    4. Tightened each screw until very loosely seated;
    5. Started incrementally tightening each screw until each screw was tightly seated, then tightened.
    6. Regularly during use I recheck the tightness of the three screws since, over time, they can loosen. I may consider using Locktight on the threads but would need to go buy some first.
