Thank you for your question. If the blade guard is sticking, sometimes you may be able to give it a good cleaning to resolve the issue. If this does not help, it will need to be replaced. Broken safety cover missing most of the part
Get the schematic of the miter saw. then put part by part together. Done and the saw works great!
