Replaced rubber parts
Remove the screws that hold the sanding pad on. Then pull on the base to remove it. Remove the screws form the top of the rubber posts. Then install the new ones. Unscrew the counter weight from the coupling. Or if the coupling is already broken remove the two pieces of it. Screw the the new coupling into the counter weight, then into the fan. Put the sander back together in reverse order.

Finish sander had broken rubber bumper broke.
Unscrewed the base of the finish sander. Used a pliers to remove the broken rubber coupling. Screwed the new bumper in place and replaced the base. Lining the base up to get the screws in was the only difficulty in fixing it.
