Description:

This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement part designed for use with Penn reels. Rod clamp is mounted to the back side of the rod and it attaches to the bottom of the reel to give the reel extra stability. Please note the hardware to attach this clamp is sold separately. This item is made out of black plastic and it is sold individually.

I wanted more stability for my 975 Penn International. I am fishing for big Dalmon that requires all parts both rod and reel to be 100 % strong.

Just screwed the both into reel and then placed rod clamp on reel, then placed nuts onto both. Very simple.

I replaced the side plate ring because it had a small crack and I wanted a rod clamp.

Removed and replaced side plate ring and installed the rod clamp.

Simply used screwdriver to attach parts. Installing rod clamp is easier if there's no line loaded.
